Next Application Redesign
Done for an ex-college. Next needed someone with a fresh pair of eyes to review their mobile application/website to identify areas of improvement within the journey, user experience and user interface. I decided to focus on three areas that I thought contained the main pain points - Landing Page, Search Page & Product Page
Research & Development
Wireframe breakdown of the current landing screen
The Problems
1) Featured Products were displayed in an arbitrary order with no sense of importance or ranking
2) Heavily dependent on vertical scrolling, not utilised any potential horizontal space
3) Main action on the page is highlighted but not successfully

The Problems
1) Heavily dependent on vertical scrolling, not utilised the available space on the screen
2) The opportunity hasn’t been taken to further advertise products with enticing/inspiring product imagery

The Problems
1) Whilst it’s nice having a large product image, I feel this is overkill
2) All the user’s main actions aren’t immediately accessible
The Solution
Wireframe and Prototype of the new Landing Screen
Key Changes
1) Effective use of horizontal scrolling, allowing for more to be in view at once.
2) Size hierarchy in the cards when displaying Featured Products/Trends/Spotlight (vs.) Campaigns/Adverts.
3) Main page action is highlighted in the secondary colour.

Key Changes
1) Flex grid layout to allow for the best use of screen real estate
2) Better use of imagery to further promote products whilst the user is searching/browsing

Key Changes
1) The main image has been resized to be dominant on the screen but not take up too much space
2) Main actions have been moved into view as soon as you land on the page, allowing for quick and effective interaction
3) Shortcuts have been added to further boost ease of use
4) Secondary actions have been moved to be in view but out of the way
